Inside Sales Representative at Veeam Bucharest

Eight Years, No Commission Cap

Daniela Kasabova has spent almost her entire career at Veeam Bucharest. She joined Veeam eight years ago as an Inside Sales Representative for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). Since then, she has worked with customers across the commercial, public sector, and enterprise markets, partnering closely with Veeam's Field Sales teams to drive successful outcomes. After returning from maternity leave, Daniela continued her career in Inside Sales and today focuses on Veeam's commercial business from the company's Bucharest office, where she is part of a high-performing sales team.

"At Veeam, commissions are uncapped, and with the support you get here to keep growing, there's always an opportunity to achieve more. That's one of the reasons I think Veeam is such a great place to build a sales career."

Daniela has been named MVP twice, a recognition given to top performers across the sales organization, and has attended Launchpad, Veeam's annual global sales kickoff event, in Las Vegas and, in earlier years, in Prague. She is also one of the people new hires turn to first, having made a habit of telling them to skip the scheduled meeting and just ask.

What Does Career Growth Look Like for an Inside Sales Representative at Veeam Bucharest?

Daniela has moved through four different roles inside the same sales organization, shifting between customer segments as she built her career. What stayed constant throughout was the earning structure underneath it.

They don't say that once you hit 110 percent of your quota, you won't receive anything more. In Veeam, this is not the case. It's uncapped!

For Daniela, that uncapped structure is about more than the number on a paycheck. It gives her the freedom to spend the time a deal actually needs rather than rushing toward a close. It has also translated into recognition.

"I've won the last two MVPs in our team. It's an amazing feeling, and it motivates me to keep growing while contributing to the success of our expanding team in Romania."

The award comes with a cash bonus and Fabric Points, Veeam's internal rewards program that top performers can redeem for gifts.

"I received some additional Fabric Points, which are always welcome. You will always find something nice to buy."

Recognition also shows up on a bigger stage. Daniela has attended Launchpad in Las Vegas, and in Prague in earlier years, alongside colleagues from the renewals team and Sales Development Representatives (SDRs).

"The experience is amazing. You see and hear our leadership speaking in front of us, and the energy all of us bring to grow the company and succeed in the future."

How Does an Inside Sales Representative Make an Impact at Veeam?

For Daniela, achieving her sales targets, and exceeding them, is one of the most rewarding parts of the job. Daniela's success comes from taking the time to understand each client's priorities, budget, approval process, and timeline, rather than rushing toward a close.

"I always try to put my full effort into it. I like it when, after a deal, the customer really sees that I tried my best to understand their situation and support them."

By building trust and guiding clients through the buying process, Daniela consistently delivers strong results, both for her clients and for herself.

What Is the Sales Team Culture Like at Veeam Bucharest?

Daniela describes her team as professional and tolerant, built on the assumption that everyone brings something different. The Bucharest sales floor works hybrid, three days in the office and two from home, which means the informal support that usually happens by turning to the person next to you has to happen deliberately instead, through team chats and standing check-ins.

New hires get the most direct version of that support. Daniela has appointed herself something like an informal buddy for people just joining the team.

"Sometimes something you already know after eight years seems normal to you, but for new hires it is not. We try to give the new Veeamers a welcoming feeling: come to us, ask us."

She is direct about why the openness matters. At some previous workplaces, she says, people hesitated to ask questions for fear of how they would be received.

"In our team, there are no bad questions. For us, we can ask anything, and when somebody asks something, they get more than one helpful response."

How Does Veeam Bucharest Support Time Away From Work?

VeeaMe Day comes several times a year, and it isn't scheduled by accident.

"I really like VeeaMe Days. They are always given smartly, on a Friday or a Monday, so you get a longer weekend."

Daniela typically spends the extra time close to home. Bucharest sits about two hours from the Black Sea coast, and she uses the long weekends with her husband and son, sometimes at the seaside, sometimes just at a swimming pool nearby. The Bucharest office also holds an H2 Kickoff every July, an event that brings the SDR and renewals teams together with the wider sales floor, something Daniela looks forward to given how rarely the renewals team crosses paths with the rest of the office.

Why Join Veeam Bucharest as an Inside Sales Representative?

Veeam Bucharest gives salespeople a commission structure with no ceiling, and the freedom that comes with it, real time to understand each customer instead of rushing the close. The team is senior enough to actually help close deals rather than compete over them, and recognition here is concrete, from Launchpad's visibility with leadership to Fabric Points' everyday flexibility. Go fearlessly forward.
