About the Role

Veeam is looking for an experienced, innovative Director of Launch Strategy (Individual Contributor) to evolve our approach to solution and product launch GTM planning and program management. This includes implementing scalable processes, tools, and cross-functional operating rhythms that maximize product launch readiness and awareness.

This is a vital and visible role at Veeam to lead the growth, innovation, and transformation to being the Data & AI Trust company. We are looking for someone who has the right balance of seasoned experience and the hunger to build launch strategy planning and process from scratch to achieve the future capacity to scale.

The role works closely with Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Operations, Customer Support, and the Executive team. Success requires strong program management with a marketing background, operational excellence, consensus building, and the ability to coordinate resources and drive alignment across a matrixed organization. Experience leveraging AI and technology for improved efficiency and quality is required.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver a single, scalable launch operating system and standard operating procedure that improves launch readiness, speed, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Work closely with peers, group leads, and senior executives across company departments
  • Implement an intake + ownership model that locks scope, timelines, and Directly Responsible Individual (owner) early to reduce rework and late-stage churn
  • Operationalize launch tiers and planning milestones before launch with clear entry/exit criteria, required artifacts, and decision points with executive reviews and approvals that drive on-time decisions
  • Ship reusable templates (plans, checklists, comms briefs, readiness reviews) that shorten planning cycles and raise quality across launches
  • Drive adoption through enablement and continuous iteration, using launch learnings to keep the system current and effective
  • Keep stakeholders aligned and execution unblocked with clear communications, decision forums, and a single source of truth.
  • Deliver a launch communications plan that clarifies what each audience needs, when they need it, and where it lives
  • Run and support a cadence of reviews and check-in meeting cadences that drive decisions and action to capture risks, owners, and next steps in a searchable hub
  • Translate stakeholder input into launch-ready artifacts and updates that are reflected in GTM materials and launch workflows
  • Report measurable impact (readiness, adoption, etc.) and use the data to sharpen the operating rhythms
  • Deliver on time, on-message launches by project managing integrated plans, risks, dependencies, and readiness across assigned programs.
  • Own the integrated launch plan (milestones, dependencies, DRIs) for teams to execute from one aligned plan
  • Provide crisp readiness/status reporting that accelerates decisions and prevents surprises
  • Proactively manage risks and tradeoffs; drive mitigations and escalate early to protect launch dates and quality
  • Ensure each stakeholder group has what they need to execute (Sales, Support, Ops etc.) with clear, timely deliverables
  • Scale launch execution by shipping repeatable and scalable enablement for launch motions led by other teams.
  • Drive the company-wide roll out of the Launch AI Agent with a clear strategy, launch plan, and success measures to enable stakeholders to easily find and be informed of launch information
  • Deliver a self-managed launch template + execution framework so teams can self-serve consistent, high-quality launches
  • Provide training, documentation, and feedback loops that drive sustained adoption and continuous improvement
  • Define and publish a launch scorecard with readiness gates, adoption, outcome proxies, etc. as a standardized measure of success
  • Run post-launch retrospectives and publish clear actions/owners to improve the next launch cycle
  • Surface insights to identify what to replicate and what to fix and turn learnings into shipped improvements (templates, workflows, governance) that measurably improve readiness and execution

What You’ll Bring

  • BS/BA required; MBA, PMP a plus
  • Knowledge of the Cloud and SaaS business model, Go-To-Market motions, Marketing and Operations
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Marketing Operations, GTM, Product Marketing Operations
  • Proven experience with indirect management of teams and influencing stakeholders.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and influence others.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization.
  • Experience leading change initiatives and managing organizational transformations.
  • Strong project management skills to oversee multiple initiatives and ensure successful implementation.
