About the Role:
As a University Relations Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our campus engagement and early careers recruiting efforts across the Americas, especially in Costa Rica and beyond. You’ll work closely with our friendly team and support the Regional Program Manager to execute and enhance our recruiting strategy, attract top university talent, and organize campus experiences. From sourcing future Veeamers to bringing our employer brand to life, you’ll have opportunities to stretch your creativity, develop your professional skills, and make a real impact.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the Regional Program Manager to execute the regional recruiting strategy and ensure alignment across all campus activities and recruiting programs.
  • Support the University Relations (UR) team by managing recruiting logistics, updating databases, posting job descriptions, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
  • Source, screen, and connect with student candidates using a variety of channels, be ready to pick up the phone, review applications, and make those first connections count!
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate with hiring managers and panels, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
  • Represent Veeam at campus events from career fairs and hackathons to diversity and tech initiatives, presenting to groups and making every student feel welcome.
  • Travel up to 30% during the academic year to bring our Veeam spirit to campuses across the AMERs region.
  • Get creative with employer branding: think banners, swag, social posts, and fun giveaways, and help us stand out both online and in person.
  • Share our story and drive engagement across social media platforms, promoting everything from campus events to onboarding new hires.
  • Assist with referral programs, keeping candidates engaged from the moment they sign their offer until their first day.
  • Own the logistics: coordinate event payments, travel, vendor management, and membership renewals.
  • Help plan and schedule activities for our Internship and Graduate Programs, keeping things organized and on track.
  • Track our programs’ success with key metrics and data.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree completed.
  • Conversational Spanish is a plus (you’ll be supporting our awesome teams and events in Costa Rica!).
  • 3-5 years’ experience in University Relations, Corporate Recruiting, University Admissions, Event Planning, Talent Management or a similar field.
  • Outgoing, personable, and comfortable presenting to crowds
  • Creative mindset with experience or interest in social media and branding.
  • Strong event management, organizational, and administrative skills
  • Proactive, motivated, and able to juggle multiple priorities with a smile.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and when presenting.
  • Familiarity with Excel and managing data is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally several times a year within the AMERs region.
  • Ready to work in a global, multicultural environment, occasionally flexing your schedule for colleagues in different time zones.

Why Veeam?
You’ll join a fun, inclusive, and supportive team that values your ideas and celebrates your successes. At Veeam, we’re committed to creating opportunities for learning, growth, and making a difference—from the very first day.
