About the Role
You will support the accurate recording and reporting of revenue in accordance with US GAAP, specifically ASC 606, for our global software/SaaS business. This role is ideal for candidates looking to further develop their expertise in revenue accounting, learn about ASC 606 for our software/SaaS business, and build a foundation for growth within the company.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with processing revenue transactions and preparing revenue reports in accordance with US GAAP and ASC 606.
- Review and validate routine sales contracts and agreements for basic and more complex revenue recognition requirements.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Help maintain accurate records of deferred revenue in accordance with contract terms.
- Work with ERP and CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce) to record and report revenue data.
- Provide supporting documentation for revenue transactions and assist with audit requests.
- Collaborate with senior accountants and finance team to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Participate in training and development opportunities related to revenue accounting and ASC 606.
- Contribute to projects aimed at automating and improving revenue processes and reporting, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives related to revenue, sharing insights and providing suggestions for process enhancement.
- Assist with other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
What You’ll Bring
- 8+ years of experience and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress).
- 4+ years of revenue accounting experience
- Basic understanding of accounting principles; familiarity with US GAAP and ASC 606 is a plus.
- Experience or coursework in revenue recognition is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to learn new systems, such as ERP and CRM software.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
