We seek an experienced solution engineer for our M365 data protection business and Veeam’s new SaaS solution.
The Senior Systems Engineer is a primarily customer focused technical role that is responsible for working closely with the field sales and channel department to help inform, enthuse and apprise partners, resellers and end users of our product offerings. This field-based role is as much about being evangelical for Veeam as being a great technical resource. The Senior Systems Engineer acts in a consultative fashion and should be looked to as the expert in all of the products by sales, channel and other systems engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct live and virtual customer meeting presentations and demonstrations
- Implement and manage POCs to technical closure
- Support lead generation activities such as events, webinars, user groups, etc.
- Collaborate with the customer/partner to establish and translate business objectives into technical requirements
- Independently consult with customer base to provide technical expertise on data protection
- Work closely with the sales department to secure new partners and customers
- Work closely with Product Management to provide customer feedback
- Providing pre-sales support to customers as they evaluate Veeam software
- Trains/mentors junior staff
- Guides others in resolving complex issues in specialized area based on existing solutions or procedures
Qualifications:
- More than 7 years of experience in solution engineering or pre-sales area.
- Data protection, backup & disaster recovery related experience strongly desired
- Demonstrated experience with virtualisation technologies
- Proven experience working with channel partners, distributors, or system integrators.
- Experience enabling partners through training, workshops, or technical evangelism.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to present to groups
- Ability to work independently, motivated self-starter and be able to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to travel within the region as required
