About the Role

At Veeam, Service Provider Systems Engineers work closely with sales and help to evangelize, inform, educate and influence service providers of our product offerings to drive growth for their businesses. As a trusted customer advocate / advisor the Service Provider Engineer will help our customers understand the best practices around building and operating a profitable Veeam Cloud Service Provider environment. 

The work will focus on data management for cloud service provider technologies within a service providers data centre with knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) & Google Cloud Platform (GCP) being beneficial. A deep understanding of the service provider market is required, including the personas and motivations of key implementors and decision makers in the space. You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises.  

In this role, you will leverage your ability to manage changing priorities in a high growth service provider native business unit environment along with a passion for designing and building solutions. You will be responsible for the overall design and mapping of prospect’s business requirements, including working with these clients to assess current state processes and tools, identify Veeam platform solution options, define solution requirements, define and scope/estimate integration requirements, and develop overall architecture points of view. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to this role. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.  

What You’ll Do

  • Work with select Veeam Cloud and Service Provider (VCSP) partners across India & SAARC 
  • Work closely with Veeam Cloud-focused Sales Representatives to generate revenue and achieve quarterly/yearly revenue goals 
  • Develop high-level SaaS solution designs/architecture for Veeam Cloud and Service Provider partners that span multiple data centres, and include storage, servers, networking, virtualisation, and Veeam availability solutions. 
  • Empower and assist Cloud and Service Provider partners while they evaluate Veeams product offerings during the pre-sales and Proof Of Concept (POC) process 
  • Enable partners to position, present and demo the business value of the Veeam technical solution as a part of their overall offerings 
  • Understand the competitive landscape and develop competitive strategies to differentiate Veeam s offerings in collaboration with our Cloud and Service Provider partners 
  • Help to ensure that the broader Veeam Sales Organisation understands and can position the value of the solutions provided by our Cloud and Service Provider partners 
  • Provide technical sales assistance to the broader Veeam Systems Engineering team as they help customers and prospects leverage offerings from Veeam VCSP partners 
  • Provide continual technical nourishment to partner technical organisations about Veeam 
  • Create and deliver partner and customer-facing presentations 
  • Learn and advocate for Veeam's full suite of products with a fierce commitment to self-education, team & business community knowledge sharing and industry 

What You’ll Bring

  • Graduate qualification minimum. A combination of education and experience will be considered. 
  • Experienced Pre-Sales Systems Engineer with strong performance working with Service Providers and/or Enterprise Accounts 
  • Industry experience of management and or design of core technologies including Storage, Networking, Servers, virtualization (VMware, HyperV and or AHV) and Containerization (Kubernetes experience is desirable) 
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment; must be a high-energy, motivated self-starter and be able to learn new technologies quickly 
  • Knowledge and experience around the hyperscale platforms (e.g., AWS, AZURE, Google), cloud native applications and dev ops technologies 
  • Experience with data protection strategy (e.g., Security, Orchestration and Automation, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Change Management)  
  • Experience with Databases such has MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL and or Oracle is desirable  
  • Must have a strong customer service orientation, a strong sense of initiative, a positive attitude, and a collaborative working style 
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication (written/verbal), presentation and negotiation skills are required 
  • Problem solving, business proficient communication skills with the ability to adapt to ever changing customer, partner requirements or market conditions, with the ability to think strategically and create innovative solutions  
  • A passion for self-development, learning and keeping up with the latest technology trends 
  • Up to 25% travel
