Join us as we move forward together, growing, learning, and making a real impact for some of the world’s biggest brands. The future of data resilience is here - go fearlessly forward with us.

As a Senior Manager of Product Design at Veeam, you’ll help shape the future of user experience across Veeam products by turning design strategy into clear plans for your team. You’ll build and lead a group of product designers, focused on end to end workflows powered by our design system. You’ll be responsible for the health, performance, and growth of your team, and for the design operations that help them do their best work.

You’ll collaborate closely with Product and Engineering across regions, drive consistency and convergence in our UX, and create the conditions for high quality, sustainable design at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and lead a team of 3–5 mid and senior level product designers.
  • Recruit, onboard, and grow designers who raise the bar for craft, collaboration, and ownership.
  • Provide clear expectations and career paths aligned to our design levels.
  • Run regular 1:1s, feedback cycles, and performance reviews; coach designers on problem framing, end to end product thinking, and cross functional collaboration.
  • Create a psychologically safe environment where designers can share work early, ask for help, and challenge ideas respectfully.
  • Define and improve design workflows, including intake and triage, discovery and research, reviews, and handoff.
  • Standardize rituals (crits, reviews, planning, retros) to reduce chaos and context switching.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to align on ways of working and remove friction in the design to build pipeline.
  • Ensure consistent use of our design system and North Star patterns across teams and workloads.
  • Balance resourcing across strategic initiatives, iteration, and design debt / quality work; make transparent tradeoffs when capacity and demand don’t match.
  • Champion accessibility, usability, and design quality, and help your team connect their work to measurable user and business impact.
  • Represent design in cross team ceremonies, design reviews, and standards audits that drive alignment and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4+ years in a formal or de facto people management role leading a team of ~3–5 product / UX designers (primarily midlevel and above).
  • A strong background in product design / UX, with enough hand son experience to give credible feedback on flows, IA, interaction, visual design, and accessibility.
  • Experience building or improving design operations such as workflows, cadences, documentation, design QA, and handoff, that reduce rework and increase clarity and speed.
  • Proven ability to drive cross functional alignment and deliver solutions that are coherent, scalable, and feasible.
  • Experience collaborating and building trust with distributed Product and Engineering teams across multiple time zones (in Europe and US).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working asynchronously and communicating with clarity and brevity with senior stakeholders.
  • A strong desire to make a meaningful impact on how product design is practiced, and a genuine interest in growing and supporting a high performing team.
  • Comfort working in a fast paced, iterative, and collaborative environment, helping your team focus on what matters most.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and healthy conflict, and to help your team move forward when requirements or constraints are still evolving.
  • Formal education in a relevant field such as Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Interaction Design, Information Design, or a related UX discipline; or equivalent practical experience that demonstrates deep understanding of user centered design.
  • Previous Experience working for a global or multinational product organization is a plus.

How This Role Is Measured

  • Team performance: quality and impact of the work your team delivers, ability to hit milestones without chronic fire drills, and thoughtful tradeoffs between speed and quality.
  • Team health and growth: designers feel supported, challenged, and clear about expectations; sustainable workloads and ways of working; growth in skills, scope, and autonomy over time.
  • Operational effectiveness and impact: clear, predictable design workflows; strong cross functional collaboration; reduced rework and confusion around ownership and decisions; visible improvements in usability, satisfaction, adoption, or other agreed metrics for the areas your team supports.
  • Leadership contribution: your impact on improving design culture, hiring, and cross team standards beyond your immediate team
