About the Role
 

The Senior Director, Corporate Strategy will play a pivotal role in accelerating Veeam’s growth trajectory. This position drives both internal and external strategic initiatives. Internally, the focus is on optimizing business results in existing areas. Externally, the role will evaluate adjacent opportunities and identify new areas for Veeam to expand—whether organically or through inorganic means like M&A and strategic partnerships. By combining rigorous analysis with a forward-thinking mindset, this leader will help position Veeam for continued innovation and market leadership. 

What you will do 

  • Strategic Problem Framing: Independently define and structure complex business challenges, develop actionable work plans, and conduct analyses to test hypotheses and identify root causes. 
  • Executive Communication: Prepare high-impact presentations and strategic recommendations for the CEO and senior leadership team, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives. 
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Build strong relationships with business unit leaders and functional teams to gather data, validate operational assessments, and ensure recommendations are practical and implementable. 
  • Growth Opportunity Identification: Proactively explore adjacent markets and technologies, evaluating opportunities for organic growth, M&A, and strategic partnerships that complement Veeam’s core business. 
  • Operational Insight: Maintain a deep understanding of Veeam’s technology landscape and industry adjacencies, continuously learning and applying insights to strategic initiatives. 
  • Business Impact: Ensure that strategy recommendations are grounded in operational realities and can be successfully executed within the organization. 

 

What you will bring 

  • 3–5 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or strategic planning within enterprise software or cybersecurity. 
  • 15–20 years of total professional experience. 
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into executive-level insights. 
  • Demonstrated passion for driving transformation in high-growth, innovation-driven environments. 
  • Solid understanding of business fundamentals and operational performance metrics (e.g., ARR, net retention rate, gross retention rate). 
  • Good understanding of data resiliency and security markets. 
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate’s expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.

$275,200$393,100 USD
