The In-house Global Employment Paralegal will provide support to Veeam’s Senior Director, Employment Corporate Counsel in managing employment matters spanning multiple jurisdictions. This role assists in all employment matters, including litigation, as well as process design, implementation, and improvement across different countries. Strong organizational skills, the ability to collaborate cross-culturally, and familiarity with foreign employment law or comparative labor standards are essential.
The paralegal will support global employment law projects, litigation, and other matters across multiple jurisdictions in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Support employment law matters, projects, and litigation at all stages, ensuring priorities, deadlines, and deliverables are consistently met.
- Manage and track employment-related lawsuits, charges, and claims from inception to resolution, collaborating with internal and external counsel. Coordinate with other legal teams to maintain the non-employment litigation tracker up to date.
- Partner with HR and other functions to gather input, process information, and keep projects moving forward.
- Assist in creating and maintaining employment law forms, templates, and playbooks, ensuring version control and access control.
- Liaise with multiple law firms on global projects, aggregating updates and consolidating responses into clear reports.
- Handle personnel subpoenas and document requests, including collection, organization, redaction, and production.
- Assist in the preparation of litigation responses, separation agreements, and other employment law documents and templates.
- Support the development, improvement, and streamlining of Legal HR processes, helping to implement consistent, efficient practices across jurisdictions.
- Assist with targeted research and comparative analysis of global employment laws (classification, termination, benefits, leave, severance).
- Provide administrative support to manage the central employment legal inboxes, ensuring timely responses and appropriate redirection of non-legal inquiries.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in employment law.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated collaboration, adaptability, and effective teamwork.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages (especially in EMEA or APAC regions) are a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel, DocuSign, and project management tools.
- Ability to learn quickly with a positive attitude.
- Commitment to integrity and confidentiality in handling employment matters and data.
- Flexible with the working schedule (global team)
