We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated and results-driven Director of Sales Compensation & Policy to join our dynamic Veeam team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading Veeam’s sales compensation strategy including designing, developing, implementing, and monitoring sales compensation, policies and compliance standards that align with the company's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Sales Compensation Strategy & Design: Develop and oversee scalable, data-driven sales compensation plans, including implementing quotas, commission structures, incentives (SPIFFs), and revenue-based incentive programs for sellers which align with Veeam’s business goals. 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal sales policies, programs and procedures that promote compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards including Sales Rules of Engagement, cloud channel programs as well as overseeing the Veeam eXcellence results. 
  • Provide senior leadership and vision for the functions and teams which you will lead: Sales Commissions, Policy, and Cloud Channel Program Operations. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Revenue Intelligence, Finance, HR, and Legal to ensure incentive programs align with business objectives and market competitiveness. 
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure all compensation policies comply with regulatory and legal requirements, including documentation, audits, and dispute resolution. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate market trends, benchmark against industry best practices, and drive enhancements to Veeam’s sales compensation framework. 
  • Plan Implementation & Administration: Oversee the end-to-end execution of compensation plans, ensuring timely and accurate payouts, adherence to policies, and continuous optimization. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Legal, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 
  • 10+ years of experience in finance, compensation, compliance, or policy management, preferably within the software industry. 
  • People leadership experience. 
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization. 
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. 
  • Proficiency in compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate’s expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.

$168,500$240,700 USD
