Summer Internship
Our Summer Internship is designed for students leading into their final year of university, who want to gain real life work experience in a fast past, exciting and professional environment.
As a Summer Intern, you will participate in onboarding with the UR team that will set you up for success in your role. You will also benefit from professional development sessions, networking, and social events provided by the Internship Program.
The program takes place from June – August 2026 (10-week program).
Purpose Statement:
The Business Analyst Intern will support business analysis activities within the organization. Guided by experienced analysts and other team members, the intern will assist in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and processes. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, learning how to turn business needs into effective solutions and contributing to process improvements.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Assist in evaluating business processes and identifying areas for improvement under supervision
- Support requirements gathering and analysis activities (may include basic UML and BPMN notation)
- Attend and contribute to meetings and presentations to learn how ideas and findings are shared
- Help document and communicate analysis results and project updates
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and management as part of a project team
- Learn how to ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
- Support initiative prioritization based on business needs and requirements
- Participate in user acceptance testing
Qualifications:
- Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Interest in business analysis, process improvement, and technology solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Eager to learn, organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in English
Competencies:
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitude
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn UML and BPMN notations
- Openness to learning Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Passion for continuous improvement
