We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join the Veeam Data Cloud (VDC) engineering team, working on the FedRAMP-compliant version of our SaaS product. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with SaaS experience to work with a cutting-edge technology stack based on containers, serverless infrastructure, Golang, and public cloud services in the SaaS domain, delivering a secure and scalable solution for government customers. 

Your tasks will include: 

  • Designing and developing highly reliable and scalable SaaS microservices, integrated with a variety of cloud-based managed services utilizing Golang
  • Ensuring your code is high-quality, thoroughly tested, and FedRAMP-compliant
  • Participating in on-call rotation for product operations
  • Taking ownership of the reliability and efficiency of your services running in the cloud
  • Participating in technical design discussions, reviewing code, and providing feedback to other engineers
  • Collaborating with a distributed team of engineers to build the VDC platform to align features with compliance and functional needs 

What we expect from you: 

  • 5+ years of experience in the software development industry
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, building, and implementing SaaS or large-scale cloud services on Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Expertise in a modern programming language like Java, Go, Scala, or Rust
  • Experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures
  • Expertise in developing, testing, and debugging production-quality, scalable, concurrent systems
  • A strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals (data structures and algorithms)
  • Understanding of compliance requirements, including security controls, documentation, and audit processes 

Will be an advantage: 

  • Prior FedRAMP or compliance experience
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container and orchestration tools
  • Experience in the data protection industry

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate’s expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.
OTE Range: $136,500 - $195,000
