Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Strategic Accounts for the EMEA region. This leadership role is pivotal in driving the growth and success of our strategic client relationships by enabling, guiding, and supporting local and regional teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the EMEA market, and a proven track record in developing high-performing teams that deliver outstanding results across various business segments.

Key elements of the position include             

  • Providing strategic direction, guidance, and support to local and regional account teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Empowering teams to develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with both existing and new clients across multiple business segments.
  • Facilitating collaboration and the sharing of best practices among account teams to maximize opportunities for growth and client success.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to design and implement strategies that address the unique requirements of different markets and client profiles within the EMEA region.
  • Monitoring performance, removing obstacles, and ensuring teams have the resources, tools, and training needed to achieve excellence in execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate strategic account plans to guide local and regional teams in driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction across the EMEA region.
  • Take responsibility for a select portfolio of key accounts while driving the expansion of strategic initiatives throughout the EMEA region.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to account managers and teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure strategies are effectively executed through local teams.
  • Identify and address capability gaps within teams, ensuring ongoing professional development and access to necessary tools and resources.
  • Support teams in identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts and in penetrating new markets and sectors.
  • Monitor market trends and the competitive landscape, sharing insights with teams to inform account strategies and initiatives.
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of regular reports on account performance, growth opportunities, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
  • Champion the company’s presence at industry events, conferences, and client meetings by enabling and preparing local teams to represent our solutions effectively.
  • Partner with local teams throughout EMEA to ensure strategies and initiatives are adapted to local markets and business objectives are met.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is an advantage.
  • 10+ years of experience in account management, business development, or sales, including a demonstrated history of success in leadership roles emphasizing team enablement and indirect management.
  • Proven track record of managing strategic accounts and driving significant revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of the EMEA market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Outstanding skills in communication, coaching, and relationship-building.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed within the EMEA region (app. 50%)
