Portuguese, Technical Support Engineer - Bilingual support

The Bilingual, Technical Support Engineer, provides technical support to Veeam clients in English and Portugese for Veeam’s products via the telephone, email, and remote session.  This role is based in Columbus, Ohio.

 

The Technical Support Engineer provides technical support for Veeam’s products via the telephone, email, and remote sessions, which may require careful examination of many infrastructure and other environmental variables, as well as a detailed analysis of log files. This highly technical support role requires deep analytical troubleshooting of complex technical problems. This position is not a traditional call center based customer service role.

 

Existing Work Authorization in the United States of America is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide bilingual technical support and troubleshooting for Veeam Software’s clients via telephone, email, and web conferencing.
  • Must speak and write fluently in required language.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Veeam Software’s clients via telephone, email, and web conferencing.
  • Proactively stay up to date with all the latest technologies concerning Veeam’s products and the underlying technologies.
  • Research and troubleshoot customer problems and inquiries.
  • Update and work assigned cases in a timely manner.
  • Maintain strong customer rapport and excellent, timely communication.
  • Contribute to documentation to build Veeam’s knowledge base.

Qualifications

·       One (1) year working knowledge of Windows desktop troubleshooting experience (past and current Windows OS)

·       One (1) year of server administration experience in a Windows environment desired

·       Strong Networking background desired

·       VMware or Microsoft virtualization technology experience desired

·       Prior role providing bilingual services

·       Must speak and write fluently in required language (Portuguese)

·       Good understanding of Windows OS and/or Linux troubleshooting

·       Good understanding of the TCP/IP stack protocols

·       Excellent understanding of the OSI model

·       IT administration experience in a Windows or Linux environment desired

·       VMware, Microsoft, or Nutanix technology experience desired

·       One (1) or more years of technical troubleshooting experience in a role where problem resolution skills were required

·       Two (2) years of client or customer support with demonstrated problem resolution skills; call center experience is a plus

·       Associate’s degree preferred.  A viable combination of certification and experience will be considered
