Responsibilities

The Solutions Architect Global Alliances- Microsoft/Azure owns all technical initiatives within the Microsoft alliance, supporting the Global Alliance and Field teams to achieve revenue success with Microsoft and Microsoft Azure specific offerings. The Solutions Architect will develop and manage the technical alliance relationship with a focus on building relationships and mindshare with key stakeholders in the global and regional business units of Microsoft.

Success in this role will involve proactively planning and executing projects to provide the strategic alliances differentiated solutions to solve business challenges. A deep understanding of the cloud and storage market is required, including the personas and motivations of product managers and sales teams at the alliance partner.  

Reporting to the Manager of Product Management, Alliances, success will be measured by the ability to show influence in the integration of solution capabilities as well as the enablement of revenue sold through the Veeam Alliance and Channel organization. This role provides a unique opportunity to be directly involved with/engaged in multiple areas of business, at Veeam and Microsoft.  The Solution Architect is a subject matter expert for the partner and Veeam pre-sales organization in a indirect sales role helping to solve or escalate sales blockers as well as surfacing opportunities to grow and drive the business. 

Qualifications

Experience

Demonstrated solution sales and/or technical presales experience preferred
•    Demonstrated expert level experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365 based solutions.                                              
•    Demonstrated expert level experience with Microsoft Windows based offerings such as SOFS, S2D, Hyper-V, DNS, Active Directory and others 
•    Strong Veeam Technology experience with Veeam Backup & Replication and other Veeam products
•    Industry based experience in storage, network and/or cloud-based technologies strongly desired
•    Experience working with monitoring tools and frameworks such as Veeam ONE and Microsoft Systems Operation Manager.
•    Demonstrated experience with virtualization technologies
•    Ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment; must be a high-energy, motivated self-starter and be able to learn new technologies quickly                           
•    Strong presentation skills
•    Ability to adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities
•    Excellent time management skills required
•    Ability to travel 20 – 35%

Knowledge

• Masters degree in computer science or comparable field experience                                     • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; must be able to present to groups and communicate effectively at the partner executive level                                           • Industry relevant professional certifications is desirable
