Partner Manager

The Partner Manager is responsible for selling Veeam products by recruiting, training and enabling channel partners who focus on VMware virtualization including the move to Cloud and modern DC management. The Partner Manager must develop executive-level relationships with resellers (VARs), large VMware and dedicated Alliance customers within the UK territory. There will also be end user focus as a requirement of this position and in addition to channel activities, running marketing and business plans, the successful candidate must also have enterprise software solution sales experience and be prepared to sell to the existing customer base and prospect for new customers.

Responsibilities

  • Successful sales experience with channel-focused company
  • Proven track record of successful selling in the enterprise accounts
  • Knowledge of virtualization technology, experience with VMware and/or Citrix is a plus
  • Must have excellent communication skills - written and spoken
  • Ability to travel 50% of time throughout the UK territory
  • Bachelor degree and/or equivalent years of experience
  • Be a self-starter with ability to learn quickly
  • Be a high-energy sales person who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where roles and responsibilities change quickly

Qualifications

  • Achieving revenue targets and goals for the territory
  • Developing and executing territory plan with the focus on channel partners
  • Follow up on leads delivered to channel partners
  • Focus on 5-7 top partners in the territory to get higher commitments and more revenues from them
  • Recruiting, training and enabling channel partners (VARs, Sis & SPs) with the focus on SMB business
  • Propose, coordinate and participate in marketing activities within the territory
  • Works with regional sales team to advance opportunities to closure, including System Engineers to technically qualify and deliver product demonstrations
  • Enter forecasting and account/opportunity details in Veeam’s CRM-system (SalesForce). Provide weekly updates including but limited to, dollar amounts, socket counts, status and decision makers and next steps in closing opportunities.
