Enterprise Systems Engineer

The Veeam Enterprise Systems Engineer is a technical and sales driven leader that manages the entire technical lifecycle of the Enterprise sales campaign from the first customer and partner meeting, through the Proof of Concept culminating in the technical win and continuing after the sale to maintain the health and relationship with the Enterprise client. The Veeam Enterprise Systems Engineer is an expert in the areas of Data Management, Data Analytics, Business Continuity, Data Center, Cloud, Operating Systems and Virtualization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical Pre-Sales consultation and support. Own and manage the technical portion of multiple Enterprise accounts
  • Exceed assigned revenue quota and defined objectives
  • Understand and analyze market competition and conditions
  • Provide technical thought leadership both within and outside of Veeam
  • Conduct architectural design reviews and onsite proof of concept engagements
  • Train, persuade and build relationships with Veeam’s partner community
  • Work closely with the sales teams to evangelize, demonstrate, and promote Veeam’s product offerings to partners, resellers, end users and the industry.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Experience working in the field requiring substantial travel
  • Significant experience with VMware and Hyper-V
  • Experience with Data Management, Data Analytics and Cloud
  • Extensive experience with Data Center, Business Continuity and Operating Systems
  • A proven track record of success (Attitude, Quota Attainment, Activity Levels)
  • Experience managing many technical accounts
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technology required. (A combination of education and experience will be considered.)
  • At least (1) year of experience with Veeam’s Core products
  • Pre-sales or consulting experience
  • Proven success mentoring Jr. Engineers
  • Experience presenting to groups: on the phone, online, and in person

Additional skills

Understanding of virtualization technologies:

  • VMware and HyperV
  • VMware VCP Microsoft MCITP or equivalent experience.
  • VCP Certification

Internal Relationships:

Sales Reps – strong working relationship needed to build business opportunities and achieve revenue goals

Fellow Veeam SEs –knowledge share, collaboration, mentoring

External Relationships:

Partners – educate, enable, joint client meeting

Clients (potential and existing) – information gathering, trusted advisor relationship, product demonstrations/POCs, training
