Field Events Marketing Manager

Veeam is seeking an experienced event manager to oversee and manage a combination of external and internal events, spanning but not restricted to; customer & partners shows, tradeshow, VIP event, industry/business conferences. The Event Manager will draw on diverse skills and direct experience to manage all elements of the event programme for France, from conception through to planning and execution.  This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to thrive in a dynamic environment and demonstrate programme management skills while working towards driving interactive event experiences and ultimately the sales pipeline.

 

Reporting into the France Senior Field Marketing Manager, this role works closely with the regional field and channel sales & marketing team to execute against local objectives whilst working to the broader Global strategy of strengthening Veeam’s position in the Enterprise market.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a mature team within a successful and ambitious software vendor which has enjoyed double digit growth since conception in 2009.

Responsibilities

·Own the planning, development and execution of all the regional events and ensure that Veeam is articulated for leading-edge marketing strategies and programs to source and contribute to the regional marketing KPIs; MQLs, SQLs and marketing-sourced

·Work with the Field Marketing Managers to build an annual and quarterly calendar of events and activities

·Effectively business partner with local Marketing & Sales team to develop exciting agendas, interactive experiences, dynamic speaking opportunities and compelling events which appeal to the regional market

·Develop and organise show plans for all France events; communicating plans to internal stake holders, and executing onsite

·Integrate digital and social promotions in pre- and post-event plans

·Ensure Veeam is reflected in accordance to the Brand style and voice guidelines as part of event and experience marketing

·Assist in multiple projects simultaneously while effectively managing time and ensuring budgets and deadlines are met

·Develop and control event budgets including preparing pre-show event financial estimates and completing post-show financial settlements based on contractual requirements.

·Ensure timely and accurate event information is delivered to the Finance Department for settlement/invoicing purposes

·Assist with recruitment and administration of customers for testimonials and sponsorship from key alliances and partners of Veeam-own events

·Work with fellow Global Event team members (US and Russia) and cross-functional teams in growing event programmes that support the attendee experience

·Perform site visits to assess suitability of conference facilities and hotels for large Veeam events

·Track and analyse the effectiveness of all events and adjust based on key findings

·Be a thoughtful, engaged and positive team member with an appetite to develop creative approaches to building/sustaining a best-in-class event experience.

Qualifications

·Strong experience in event management

·Inventive, self-starter with a sense of urgency and strong work ethic

·Sound understanding of the marketing mix and applications, including digital and social techniques

·Experience in broader marketing roles (marketing communications, campaign management) is a strong advantage

·Ability to assist in multiple projects simultaneously while effectively managing time and ensuring budgets and deadlines are met

·Problem-solving skills, strong communication skills (particularly writing), solution orientation

·Travel to France events - 10-20% travel, season dependent

·Ability to deliver high performance results in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace

·Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
