Director, Global Channel Marketing

The Director, Channel Marketing is a leadership role responsible for developing and implementing global channel marketing program strategies, promotional campaigns, demand/lead generation programs, development and management of global partner portal, and supporting partner training (sales and product) programs. The Director, Channel Marketing will be responsible to standardize platforms, tools and content leveraged for channel marketing initiatives by optimizing operations, implementing GTM best practices and providing a consistent user experience for worldwide Veeam partners.  Must meet Veeam standards and strategic goals and ensure consistency with Veeam’s mission statement. This role requires in-depth channel knowledge and a diverse marketing skillset with a track record of success. Responsible for budget expenditures and development and growth of the Channel Marketing team.


Channel Marketing Priorities:

  • Strategy and planning:  develop channel marketing programs that align with GTM planning, corporate strategy, and growth goals; deliver exceptional partner experience
  • Demand creation:  form demand creation strategies for channel partners that increase demand and accelerate conversions
  • Marketing program design and optimization:  design best-in-class marketing programs; optimize existing partner program to maximize investment and profitability
  • Partner enablement and engagement: build all-inclusive partner enablement and engagement roadmap across variety of partner types to increase productivity and adoption of new offerings
  • Marketing functional design and development:  transform channel marketing to drive better performance and contribution; develop knowledge and skills necessary for success

  • Develop programs to create profitable and enabled channel
  • Increase global to regional alignment for channel marketing programs
  • Increase overall partner engagement
  • Work to infuse or drive directly through and with Alliance partners
  • Develop and drive programs resulting in qualified leads for partner organizations; lead nurturing programs; increase campaign usage
  • Design and implement metrics to measure ROI, upleveling efficiencies
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications, Web, and Product Marketing teams to develop partner enablement tools, education tools and campaign collateral
  • Maintain and manage partner portal website and content; ensure most current messaging/content available
  • Manage marketing automation system to enable email campaign execution
  • Develop growth of and successful team through motivation, training and education to ensure high levels of competency
  • Prepare and control operating budgets and department resources
  • Act as liaison between team and senior management
  • Other duties, as assigned



Education: Bachelor’s degree required

Experience: Proven experience in channel marketing and channel sales in technology


  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of channel marketing
  • Strong initiative and ability to work effectively under deadline pressure
  • Critical thinking, analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to effectively develop and implement programs and procedures as needed
