The Customer Reference Specialist is responsible for executing the Veeam customer reference program, including overall program management, and also has direct responsibility for coordinating and developing references in EMEA regions. This position may also provide assistance for reference activities Worldwide

Responsibilities

  • On-going execution and adherence to formal customer reference program, aligning to goals and objectives, guiding principles, tracking and reporting mechanisms, communications and maintaining documents and agreements
  • Serve as a single point of contact for customer references in EMEA regions, including suggestions for potential references and requests for references from Sales, field marketing, Channels and Alliances, and AR/PR
  • Become a trusted advisor to the field sales and marketing teams
  • Identify, cultivate and manage customer references in EMEA regions; this includes convincing Veeam Sales, ProPartners, Alliance partners, end users, and their PR and legal departments to participate in the reference program
  • Coordinate customer interviews. Edit and/or write stories/brief copywriting resources as applicable, and for approved suggestions, provide background information and contact details to the writer. Manage internal/external review, approvals and posting
  • Track use of customer references, including written success studies, quotes, peer-to-peer references, audio, video, and AR/PR contacts
  • Maintain accurate and timely information in customer reference database
  • Work with wider Veeam marketing departments to ensure that all completed customer assets are well promoted both externally and internally as well as utilized correctly/through the best channels
  • Regular reporting on performance
  • Efficiently manage multiple projects
  • Special projects as assigned by the department manager

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP AND ACCOUNTABILITY

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Global Customer Advocacy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related area
    (a combination of education and experience will be considered)
  • At least three years of sales and marketing experience in B2B industry
  • Understanding of the roles played by alliance partners, distributors, system integrators, etc. in the channel market highly preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Soft persuasive selling skills
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, hard-working, results-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Understanding of customer advocacy and customer relationship management desired
  • Excellent level of English is a must
  • Multi-lingual proficiency is a plus (German or French or Italian)
