Customer Reference Manager -

The Customer Reference Manager is responsible for executing the Veeam customer reference program, including overall program management, and also has direct responsibility for coordinating and developing references in Asia Pacific (APJ) regions. This position may also provide assistance for reference activities Worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance and maintain the roster of references in APJ countries that can be leveraged by the regional sales and marketing organizations to advance Veeam’s brand awareness and sales effort
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with the key reference accounts; develop a portfolio of household/Fortune 500 brands that can be used within high-level opportunities (i.e. speaking engagements at industry events etc.). Own these relationships end-to-end
  • Integrate reference program into wider Veeam marketing activities, such as campaigns, PR/AR, field marketing. Ensure a charter of excellence for the use of references
  • Work with the wider teams to identify and cultivate customer references; this includes but is not limited to convincing Veeam Sales, ProPartners, end users, and their PR and legal departments to participate in the reference program
  • Become a trusted advisor to the field sales and marketing teams
  • Serve as a single point of contact for customer references in APJ region, including suggestions for potential references and requests for references from Sales, field marketing, Channels and Alliances, and AR/PR
  • Coordinate customer interviews. Edit and/or write stories/brief copywriting resources as applicable, and for approved suggestions, provide background information and contact details to the writer. Manage internal/external review, approvals and posting
  • Track use of customer references, including written success studies, quotes, peer-to-peer references, audio, video, and AR/PR contacts
  • Maintain accurate and timely information in customer reference database
  • Work with wider Veeam marketing departments to ensure that all completed customer assets are utilized correctly/through the best channels
  • Prepare global monthly reports
  • Review Top Closes worldwide (WW) on a regular basis to enable team to be more proactive in pursuing new opportunities.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

·Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related area
(a combination of education and experience will be considered)

·5-7+ years of marketing or communications experience in B2B technology industry, specifically within a customer marketing role

·Understanding of the roles played by alliance partners, distributors, system integrators, etc. in the channel market highly preferred

·Ability to effectively communicate in multiple languages, possibly including, but not limited to – English, Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese

·Strong organizational and project management skills

·Understanding of and ability to apply customer relationship management skills

·Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

·Enthusiastic, hard-working, results-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

·Experience managing customer reference programs is a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, partner and drive for results with customers and key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Proven history of working with senior management (VP and C-Level) is desired
  • Comfortable with influencing and communicating with all levels of the organization
