The AMS Distribution Business Development Specialist works in the AMS Distribution team and is responsible for developing and accomplishing sales objectives by supporting and managing the distribution channel while working with resell partners in AMS.  This is a sale, business development and execution role that works with the distribution account leaders, inside sales and channel leaders to define sales and execution plans across the AMS region.  This role will work directly with distributors in each country to drive sales, gather input/feedback, problem solve, develop and actively manage sales plans.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and executes highly complex, time sensitive projects; identifies and recommends solutions for multifaceted operational and programmatic problems
  • Leads efforts to develop innovative business models and analyses to support multiple, large projects.
  • Work across Veeam departments (Order entry, accounting, marketing, sales) to ensure operational efficiencies and execution of Value Added Distributor business plans (as outlined by Veeam Distribution Management)
  • Communicate program changes, product releases, SKU additions, price changes, product name changes to Veeam distributors
  • Become the Veeam expert to assist and answer all Veeam Partner Program and Portal related questions
  • Send weekly and monthly updates to distributors (DR, rebate reports, channel maps) and act as liaison to align distributor and partner reps with appropriate Veeam resources
  • Attend weekly cadence calls (pipeline, operations, programs and marketing) with distributors to ensure execution of plans

Qualifications

Typically 5+ years total IT distribution experience in sales, strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area.

  • Ideal candidate will have Partner Operations experience and either worked at a IT Distributor or provided account coverage for a IT Distributor
  • Bachelor’s degree required or demonstrable equivalent experience.

Additional skills
