Vishwajeeth began in Technical Support for Veeam in Sydney. Now, three years on, he’s a Cloud Systems Engineer, collaborating with our partners. So, what keeps him at Veeam? “There are lots of tech companies out there, but what makes Veeam a great place to work is the culture. Everyone is so flexible and supportive – it shows you’re actually valued. I started my Veeam journey in Sydney but wanted to move back to Melbourne. People were really understanding, even helping me with the relocation process.”
It’s also been a culture of learning. “I knew about virtualization as a theory, but coming to Veeam I could put it into practice. Initial training was very thorough and I got to grips with VMware and public cloud technologies. Since then, there’s been a lot of emphasis on upskilling and product knowledge. The training certainly came in handy when I had to deliver a presentation on Veeam technologies to an audience of almost 400 industry professionals!”
It’s this learning and keen involvement that has resulted in his promotion – a pleasant surprise for Vishwajeeth. Alongside his professional journey, he has explored the simplicity, reliability and flexibility of the business and its software. He has seen Veeam enter into a new landscape, effecting how he interacts with partners and the community, not just the end-user. “We’re now talking about Veeam being a part of a bigger solution that the partner is providing. I’m trying to change my point of view for how Veeam could be a part of that bigger solution and how it can still be a driving factor for partners.”
From his promotion and extra responsibilities, to his growing technical knowledge and partner relationships, Vishwajeeth has seen a successful career path, one that shows no signs of slowing down. “I always knew that I was bringing something to the table that mattered, and I was appreciated for that, and I was also being recognised.”
