“Veeam is a large company with a small-company vibe.”

For Technical Support Engineer Daniel Triplehorn, “There’s never a dull day at Veeam. Working here has allowed me to discover and explore interests I didn’t even know I had.” Coming from him, that’s saying a lot — we found out some pretty interesting things about his background. Like the fact that he grew up in Brazil as the son of missionaries. And ran a film production company. Oh, and he also taught English, was a background actor, and worked in a microbiology lab.

We’re glad he’s had all those experiences because it makes him even better at his job—despite the fact that when he joined Veeam, he had limited technology support experience. “My foot in the door, was my language skills. But I had a lot to learn, which I was definitely insecure about.” Daniel had help overcoming that insecurity. “Since everyone — even people in senior roles — started in Tier 1 positions just like me, everyone is supportive and encouraging. They’ve done a lot to make me feel more confident in my abilities, which has helped me overcome some of my shyness and insecurities.”

These days, Daniel is enjoying his new role as a Tier 2 Technical Support Engineer. “My wife and brothers work here too, and we love that we aren’t a number. And although my managers are clear about the next steps I need to take for my career, there isn’t necessarily a set path. I can focus on what I’m passionate about, which allows me to grow my own excellence.”
