Chief Marketing Officer
As Veeam’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Jim Kruger leads Veeam’s global marketing organization with the charter to accelerate growth, lead the company’s brand momentum as the #1 provider for Backup solutions that deliver Cloud Data Management, and drive innovation across every aspect of Veeam’s marketing machine.
Jim has more than 25 years of experience in leading all facets of marketing. In his previous role as Senior Vice President (SVP) of Product & Solution Marketing for Veeam (he joined the company in 2017), Jim oversaw all aspects of product and alliance solutions marketing, plus competitive, research and sales acceleration. Prior to this, he was CMO at Intermedia, offering Unified Communications as a service to small businesses. He spent 16 years at Polycom in a variety of roles from Executive Vice President/CMO to leading product marketing and product management for the Voice division to Vice President/General Manager over a $200M business. Prior to Polycom, Jim served in several senior marketing roles with GTE (Verizon) wireless and Palm.
Jim has an MBA from California State University, East Bay, and a BA from University of California, Berkeley.

Julie started working at Veeam in January, 2011 as a Marketing Assistant and supported the North America Central sales team. Now she is an Area Marketing Manager.
Short answer: We have great mentors and managers at Veeam. Take the initiative, don’t be afraid of failure and always challenge yourself.
Long answer: I have supported Channel, Distribution, Alliance and managed Field events in the North America Marketing department since I joined Veeam. So I encourage everyone to step out of your comfort zone to learn a new technology in a new area when there’s an opportunity. This will help you define the right career path for yourself.
I really enjoy being an Area Marketing Manager. I know what I am passionate about and the list of skills and experiences that I have gained prior to this new role will help me continue my career growth at Veeam. I like everything about my job. Since Veeam is a 100% channel-focused business model (no direct sales), enabling our channel partner/reseller is very important to our everyday business. This involves working closely with our focus partners to create and execute marketing plans for each one of them. Create marketing programs and campaigns that can increase brand awareness and generate new revenue and business for our partners and Veeam.
